Steaming Hot!

Hello, Janet here with a simple and fun, steaming hot Valentine Card!
First, I stamped the coffee cup with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a scrap piece of white cardstock. I colored it with a copic marker and cut it out. With VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink, I stamped the XOXO on the coffee cup label and the sentiment Hot Steaming Love on scrap white cardstock.
The bottom layer is black cardstock on the card base. Next is a printed Valentine paper. Using foam squares, I attached the coffee cup on the bottom right corner. I layered Hot Steaming Love on a piece of black cardstock and attached it across the top left corner.

Eggstra Fabulous at Any Age

Hi everyone, Dalis here.

What comes first, the patterned paper or the stamps? A crafty riddle for the ages, right up there with the chicken and the egg.

In this case, the patterned paper definitely came first. This vintage 2006 Autumn Leaves paper immediately sparked a vision in my mind of a funky, slightly sassy hen who simply had to come out and play. And here she is in all her glory. Meet Louise.

Now, at the Crackerbox Stamps store, she goes by the very proper name of “Chicken Standing.” But let’s be honest, Louise is doing far more than standing. She is absolutely passing judgment on everyone she encounters, including her companion stamp, “Cracked Egg.” Side-eye included.

Of course, I couldn’t resist a good pun, so “Eggstra!” had to make an appearance. To lean into the mixed media vibe, I added bits of thread, those cozy little tangles you’d expect to find tucked into a bird’s nest. Texture, personality, and a hen with opinions… this card has it all. 🧵✨

Sometimes the paper leads the dance, and the stamps happily follow. And when they do, magic (and attitude) happens.

Supply List:

Additional Supplies: alcohol markers, vellum, punch, white gel pen, Pearluster embossing powder, thread, and silver bling.

Until next time— Stay colorful, stay crafty! -- Dalis

Warm Winter Wishes

Hello, Janet here with a sweet snowman, sending warm winter wishes.
I stamped the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut him out. He is colored with copic markers. Next, I used navy cardstock for the bottom layer. The next layer is printed paper. Using white cardstock, I cut out some snow to lay across the bottom. I added some silver glitter to the snow. Using pop dots, I attached the snowman. The sentiment is stamped on white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. I layered that on matching navy cardstock cut slightly larger and attached it in the upper right corner. I added 2 navy snowflake brads before layering everything on the card base.

Happy Valentine's Day, I Guess

Have you started on your Valentine's Day cards, or do you even celebrate?  I'd like to think my cat celebrates even if it's from under the bed when there are strangers in the house. LOL.  Toni (and her cat) here with a snarky little love card to share.
I stamped Annoyed Kitty on the front panel and watercolored the image with Zig Real Brush markers.

I had stamped the Who You Are sentiment, thinking to leave the card clean and simple, but it felt incomplete.  Thus, I decided to add the shimmery pink border with glittery heart garland. Now it feels like a proper Valentine!
