Snarky Retro 60s Style New Year Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a humorous card for the New Year or any time.

Talk about simple and quick to make with this one. I stamped the Drinking Couple with Versafine Clair Nocturne and mounted it on black to match the embossed Falling Ice sentiment panel. I mounted these on a hot-foiled card front but you could easily use a piece of patterned paper instead.

Fun Elephant Birthday Card

Hello, my friends!  Toni here sharing a cheerful and sassy birthday card.

Today's card was really fun to make. The Birthday Elephant image pairs perfectly with the Birthday Set 2 sentiment, doesn't it? I colored up and die-cut the pair, then mounted it on a foil panel. This panel was then placed on top of a hot-foiled panel, which was placed on top of another foil panel. Sassy and fun!

Classic Grinch Holiday Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a cute and simple holiday card featuring the Grinch.

This card was so simple to make which is great for this busy time of year.

I stamped, colored up, and cut out the Grinch Standing image.  I placed the image on the card front on which I had stamped the Grinch Saying Long using Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I mounted the front on black and used peppermint twine for added interest.

Embossed Floral Sympathy Card

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a sympathy card.

I stamped the Hydrangea Lg image in the corner of a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock then watercolored it using Zig Real Brush Markers.

Next I used the stamp itself as a mask and spattered the card front using Peerless Gold Watercolor Paint. Once that air-dried (I didn't want to warp the panel using my heat gun--eeee), I stamped the Heartfelt Sympathy sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne.

I felt the plain version was too plain but because it was a sympathy card I didn't want to get too blingy.  3D embossing to the rescue!

Humorous Grumpy Bear Winter Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a humorous card perfect for lightening up those winter blues.

I started this card by using a background I had created ages ago using a stencil and Brushos. I spattered Copic Opaque White as snow and added a glitter hill to adapt it to winter.

Then I colored up the Grumpy Bear Bernard image using Copics, diecut the panel with a deckle edge and mounted it on a piece of kraft cardstock.

To complete the card, I stamped the Wish I Was a Bear sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne and gave it the same diecut treatment.

Elegant Wheat Thanksgiving Cards

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a couple of elegant and simple Thanksgiving cards.

For my first card I stamped the Wheat using Catherine Pooler Tutti Frutti and Orange Twist.  I didn't worry about removing the color between stampings nor making sure everything was perfectly aligned so there's a bit of variation which adds to the homemade quality.

I finished the card by stamping and embossing Happy Thanksgiving in gold on a panel with gold washi edges.

For the second card I went even simpler with a one-layer card.  I used more Catherine Poolers inks including Icing on the Cake, a lovely dark brown.

Cute & Humorous Thanksgiving Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a humorous Thanksgiving card.

I stamped the Turkey Goofy image directly onto card front cut from Copic-friendly cardstock and colored him up with Copics.

Next I added a strip of leftover 6x6 cardstock to ground him.  I embossed the Nibble Nibble and Go Pluck Yourself sentiments white on black cardstock and placed them so the turkey could be surprised then absolutely indignant that someone wants to eat him.  LOL.

Simple Autumn Season Card

Hi, friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a seasonal autumn card.

I stamped Skeleton Leaf 2 in a variety of shades of Catherine Pooler inks, sometimes off-stamping to lighten the color.  By the way, there a few different skeleton type leaves in the shop.

I didn't want to cover up the background so embossed the  Autumn Dancing sentiment in gold on vellum and used my sewing machine to attach it to the panel.

Kooky Minion Halloween Card

Boo!  Toni here with you today sharing a really cute and rather kooky Halloween card featuring Dave Jumping.

My idea was to use Dave Jumping as hanging from a Witch's Broom zipping around in the night sky.

I masked a circle on the card front and used my Copic Airbrush to color the background in shades of patchy blue as though there's a bit of cloud cover.  I spattered alcohol to create the large drops then Copic Opaque White for stars.

Using Copics I colored up the images as well as added a few craters to the moon which I sponged lightly in yellow along the edges.

Finally I stamped the Harry P 1 and embossed it in white. How perfect is that sentiment for pretty much any Minion card, right?

Bright & Spooky Minion Halloween

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a bright and spooky Minion Halloween card.

My first step was sponging the background using Catherine Pooler inks.  I applied a spiderweb stencil on top of that then spattered the lot with water.

Next I colored up the Tombstone Lg and Ghost Minion using Copics.  Notice how I aged the gravestone by spritzing a paper towel with alcohol and pressing it against the colored image--it lifts the color away in random ways.

To complete the scene, I stamped the Tree Wide Bare on the background then diecut a spooky fence and grass.

Halloween Gravestone Cupcake Toppers

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing cupcake toppers for a Halloween gathering.

I started this project by sponging scrap cardstock panels in a variety of Distress Oxides in Halloween (or least adjacent) colors: Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Lumberjack Plaid, Seedless Preserves, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner.  I spattered water then gave the panels a quick dry with my heat gun.

Next I cut out the panels using a gravestone die from my stash then stamped and embossed the Tombstone Lg and Tombstone Set 2 in Ranger White Detail Fine Embossing Powder.

I added a bit of Distress Ink Black Soot along the edges after this to give them a bit more dramatic flair. Now they're ready to top some cupcakes. Or you could create a sheet cake graveyard with them.  Sprinkle some Oreo "dirt" on there too.  How very fun!

Colorful One Layer Halloween Card

Boo to you, friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a not so spooky but very colorful one layer Halloween card.

I sponged the card base with Catherine Pooler Orange Twist, Flirty Fuschia, Suede Shoes and touch of Black Soot. I spattered it with water then dried it with my heat gun.

Next I stamped and embossed the Web Corners Set of 2 with Ranger Detail Fine White Embossing Powder.  I embossed the Crabby Cat and Black Cats Prowl sentiment in Black Embossing Powder. Super simple and colorfully fun!

I stamped the Skeleton Birthday in Versamark and embossed it with Ranger Detail Fine White Embossing Powder. I added the birthday noisemaker from the Minion 1 set. I used Polychromos colored pencils to add just a hint of color.

Next I added some scraps of Halloween-themed 6x6 paper then embossed the Every Bone in My Body and Spider Spooky in Stampendous Black Embossing Powder.

Harry Potter Holiday Card for Muggles

Hello, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a Harry Potter holiday card featuring Ron.

I started my card by stamping the Santa hat from the Minion 1 set.  I masked the hat then stamped Ron from the Harry P 1 set.  I stamped him again so I could paper piece his robe's collar and his hands with cuffs, and also stamped him on a piece of plaid paper for his hand-me-down robe.

I colored him up using Copics then paper-pieced his outfit.  I really like how that turned out.  For the sentiment, I combined the Holiday Greetings Harry and Happy Birthday Muggle stamps.  I sponged the edges of the card base rather heavily with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and added a snowflake border.

Summery & Humorous Friendship Card

Hello, lovelies!  Toni is here with you today to share a summery friendship card.

I stamped out the Sunflower Large on a white panel and then used Polychromos colored pencils to color it up.  I framed the panel in black and then mounted it on a bright yellow gingham cardstock. I stamped the Who You Are sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne on an oval panel cut from a coordinating yellow plaid. I added a black strip beneath to help visually pop it up from the base.

Minions Count Phil Halloween Card

Are you ready to get your spook on, my friends?  Toni here with you today sharing a not too spooky Minions Halloween card.

I started the card by cutting out "Minions" in a stitched alphabet and coloring them with Copics.

I stamped Count Phil above and used the same reds on his cloak.  I added the Look for Rainbows sentiment, having masked off the "rainbows" portion and replacing it with "minions." LOL--boo!!!

Minions Halloween Fun-Fold & Snarky Christmas Cards

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a couple of cards using Minion characters from the new red rubber release. Let me show you but first take a look at all the cuteness!

My first project is a fun-fold Halloween card. I started my card by creating an easel very simply using an A2 card base where I scored the front at the halfway point, 2-1/8", in this case, and folded it into a mountain.

In order for the easel to stay upright, you need to add a little berm on the interior of the card that the front can rest against.  I used a piece of designer paper along with a strip of black glitter washi I had adhered to a piece of black cardstock to give it a bit more height.  I embossed the Don't Scare Me sentiment in white and added a couple of spider enamel dots.

Next I stamped and masked the minions, from left to right: Dave Jumping with Minion 1 bunny ears, Mummy StuartBride KevinGhost MinionFranken Bob, and Count Phil on a piece of Bristol and watercolored them with Zig Real Brush Markers.  I adhered this panel to only the bottom half of the card base folded panel so that when you mail it, it's completely flat.

As for the speech bubbles, I printed those on my laser printer with Aptos size 9 font, printed with white text on a black fill. They add a bit of extra fun.

For the Christmas card, I stamped Reindeer Stuart using Memento Tuxedo Black and masked the left antler before stamping Blowing Snowflakes.  I colored him up with Copics then added a snowy hill and the hilarious Winter Lovers sentiment balanced out by Snowflake Trio.

Humorous Kinky Chicken Card

Hello, everyone!  Toni here with you today with bedroom humor card featuring Chicken on Nest Henrietta.

I started my card by scoring an aqua blue cardstock panel using my score board.  Next I spattered it with Distress Oxide Rusty Hinge. While that was drying, I colored up Henrietta using Copics then fussy cut her out.

I cut out a few hexagons, adhering Henrietta to one and stamping part of the Use a Feather sentiment on another.

I stamped the second half of the sentiment on the inside of the card along with the Chicken Standing image. I love the expression on its face.  LOL!

Snarky Chicken Friendship Card

Hello, everyone!  Toni here with you today sharing a funny friendship or any occasion card for when you're having one of those days.

This card was super easy to make.  I stamped Miss Prissy and then colored her up with Copics.

I next masked the Miss Prissy sentiment and then added the Go Pluck Yourself.  Both are stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne.

The card felt a touch naked, so I added some fun polka dot washi.
