Snarky Day Drinker Pirate Card

It's summer and time to hit the water if you're able. Toni here serving as your captain today.

I stamped and colored up J. Sparrow using Copics. I had originally planned to just use the Makes You a Pirate sentiment, but it seemed lonely on the card front. I love clean and simple, but sometimes a card calls for a bit more decoration, you know?

So, I searched my stash and found a gold-flecked parchment-like paper that went well with the Treasure Map stamp, which balanced out the image nicely.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your day! For a full list of products used and to see my other projects, just visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.

Patriotic Minion 4th of July

Hello, Crackerbox Stamps fans!
Toni here and I have a 4th of July card to share with you.
Can you believe it's only a month away?!

My first step was to stamp out and color up the Minion 1 images.  I drew in lines to make a star spangled banner hat.  For his overalls, I paper-pieced some patterned paper.

I had stamped out the bottle rocket from the set, but lost it along the way, so he's just waving instead of playing with fireworks.  I'm blaming the cat!

And that brings me to the No Good sentiment. I used the same patterned paper behind and cut the sentiment panels with a deckle edge die. I tied it all together using a starry coverplate die on a bright minion yellow.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your day! For a full list of products used and to see my other projects, just visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.  I'm also on IG

Extra Crispy Miss Prissy

My kid sister gave me the idea for this card. She's brilliant and so very creative!

I stamped Miss Prissy onto the card front so I'd know where I would be placing her after coloring and fussy cutting her out.

I then used a honeycomb stencil with Catherine Pooler and Lisa Horton metallic inks.  I love how that blended and wish I could show you the shimmer, but you know how finicky cameras can be.

I added the die-cut sentiments and had Miss Prissy popping up from behind.  On the inside of the card I stamped the sentiment from the Miss Prissy set: "Live today like you're getting fried tomorrow."  Perfect!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of your day! For a full list of products used and to see my other projects, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.  Have a great rest of your day!

Simple Funny Shark Card

Are you ready to hit the water this summer?  Maybe not so much now, huh?

I first stamped Jaws the Shark onto the card front and colored it with Copics.  Next, I  masked the shark so it would appear to be jumping out of the water after I stamped that.

But what really makes the card, is that What Doesn't Kill You sentiment, am I right?!

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of your day! For a full list of products used and to see my other projects, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.

Inspirational Nautical Sailing Card

Ahoy, mateys!  Toni here with you, sharing an inspirational card with a nautical theme.

I selected a nautical map paper from my stash and cut it with a deckle-edge rectangle die.

Next I colored up the Sailing Ship using Copics. I adhered the ship to the card front. Finally, I embossed the Sometimes in a Wave sentiment in black on vellum.  I was concerned the sentiment wouldn't show up well on such a busy paper so the vellum really helped softed the background.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of your day! For a full list of products used and to see my other projects, you can visit my blog, Frankie Helps Craft.  Have a great rest of your day!

Humorous Cupcake Friendship Card

Any strawberry lovers out there?  They're my favorite fruit. Toni here with you today sharing a strawberry lemonade cupcake card.

And, yes, I do mean a strawberry lemonade cake with lemon frosting and strawberry topper. Yum!

I used a die as a press plate to create the string art background with a bit of light sponging in the open area.  I then colored up the Cupcake with Strawberry using Copics, adhering it to the center of the card front.

Next, I stamped the Beautiful Cupcake sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Mixed Media Neon Snarky Comic Card

Hello, crafty friends! Toni here today with a really bright and fun--and, of course, snarky--card!
I created the card front using my Gelli plate and Art by Marlene neon paints. I used a stencil and archival ink to add the dotty pattern.

Next, I stamped Comic Women using Memento Tuxedo Black, leaving it in my MISTI, so that once I was done coloring the image with Copics, I could accurately restamp with Versafine Clair Nocturne (which smears with alcohol ink).  That worked a treat to create a really bold look.

I trimmed that down, added some stenciled dots, and mounted it on black.  To finish up the card, I stamped and embossed Miserable without You.

Paper-Pieced Clean and Simple Snarky Card

Hello, everyone!  Toni is back with you today, sharing a hilarious, clean, and simple card for any occasion.

I really enjoyed making this one, particularly choosing the "fabric" for Esther Variant's dress.

I stamped and colored her with Copics using my MISTI/Memento/Versafine method.  I stamped her again on patterned paper and fussy cut the dress.  I colored up her necklace using red so I wouldn't have to trim out her necklace separately.

I stamped the FYI sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne and mounted the card front on a black base.

Fairy Friendship Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here with you, sharing a friendship card featuring Fairy Godmother.

I started by trimming the hot-foiled card front down and adhering it to a pink base.

Next I stamped Fairy Godmother using Memento Tuxedo Black in my MISTI, leaving it there while I colored it up with Copics, then restamping with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

I used a scalloped circle die to cut her out then positioned her so that she's pointing toward the Fluff Your Tutu sentiment which I had embossed in black.  Fun, right?!

Clean and Simple Floral Sympathy Card

In celebration of our 20% off seasonal sale, I used one of the gorgeous flower stamp sets.  Toni here with you today, sharing a clean and simple floral sympathy card.

As I nearly always think of flowers when I consider making a sympathy card, I decided to use Peony Set of 2.  I stamped the peony using a pale pink then no-line watercolored it with Zig Real Brush markers. To emphasize the outline of the flower without destroying the no-line look, I stamped the image again using a darker pink.

The Heartfelt Sympathy stamp is quite large, so I snipped it apart so I could use the first line on the outside of the card and the remainder on the inside. A subtle embossing folder application finished the card front panel.

Be sure to check out the seasonal sale of 20% off everything in the flowers, spring and Mother's Day categories.

Cheeky April Fool's Day Card

Hello, everyone!  Toni here. April Fool's Day is upon us, and thus, I thought I would create a funny card with a bit of humor.

I die-cut my card front with a trail of stars, then stamped the Fairy Godfather Patrick image so that they emanated from his backside (yes, think farts--such a man joke).

The smile on his face is perfect for this--LOL.  I stamped the Leave a Little Sparkle sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne, then added a yellow glitter backer behind the stars before adhering the front to the card base.

Bright Rainbow Birthday Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here with you today with a fun and humorous rainbow birthday card.

I started my card by sponging a card front using Catherine Pooler inks.  I then die-cut it with a scalloped rectangle die and set it aside.

Next, I stamped the Bunny Hug image, masked it, and stamped the cake from Birthday Set 2.  I colored this up with Copics.  I trimmed the panel down and mounted it on black before stamping the sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne.

I adhered to the card altogether, then realized I had forgotten to add any candles. The sparkler from Birthday Set 2 came to the rescue!

Stenciled Floral Sympathy Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a softly colored stenciled sympathy card.

I no-line colored the Flowers in a Vase image with Copics, using a paper towel spritzed with alcohol to create the dotty pattern afterward. I then die-cut the panel using an arched die, adhering that to a pale gray card front before stenciling the lot using Distress Oxides.

I used my MISTI to stamp the card front with the  From Your Side sentiment, just in case I needed to restamp it because of the layers, although that proved unnecessary.

Toni here sharing a funny card suitable for all the winter haters out there!

I think we've all reached the point in the year when we're so done with winter, including Guy Shovelling.

One Layer Snarky Lady Card

Hello, friends!
Toni here with you today sharing a sassy any occasion card that's perfect for your gal pals.

I stamped Lady Stella Laughing and colored her up using Copics.  I had originally planned to fussy cut her out to layer her on some bright background but really liked how she looked on the white cardstock so made this into a one layer card with the last step of stamping the Laugh Cackle sentiment. Easy!

The sale on the Ladies category goes through February 20 so you still have a little time to snag some great stamps including the one I used here.  Happy shopping!

Leprechaun Birthday Beer Card

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing a cute birthday leprechaun card.
I stamped Leprechaun Sheamus, then masked his left side and stamped the Cauldron.  I masked off the top part of that image before stamping so I would have space to draw in some gold coins.

I used a plaid stencil and whatever green ink remained on my stenciling brush to add a bit of color in the background.  I then colored the scene with Copics.

On the interior of the card, I stamped the Drink to Your Health sentiment and used a portion of a sentiment from Birthday Set 1 on the front of the card.

Masculine Valentine Shaker

Hello, friends!  Toni here sharing an interactive Valentine's shaker card.
I stamped the Big Head Ed image within the Cell Phone & Hashtags Snarky phone, coloring both with Copics.

I then fussy cut out the center of the phone, sponged it lightly with blue, and adhered it to the card base. I added a piece of acetate behind the phone and built a brim with foam tape to contain the Buttons Galore Sweethearts Sprinkletz.

Lastly, I stamped the Like a Fart sentiment on the inside of the card.  LOL!
