Pastel Winter Vibes

Hello, friends!  Toni here with a colorful card celebrating winter.

Creating the background didn't take me as long as you might think it would.  I used my large MISTI and grid paper to quickly align the Let It Snow sentiment on the front panel. I've been feeling pastel lately so used a few softer Catherine Pooler ink colors.

I colored up the Snowman Joy image using Polychromos colored pencils then mounted it on a lavender scalloped circle. Such a colorful and happy card--love it!

Yas, King Bob!

Hello, friends! Toni here with a whimsical Minions friendship/encouragement card. You can't go wrong with a Minion!

First, I die-cut the card front using a star coverplate. I then adhered that to the card front by covering the entire back with double-sided adhesive. Once the backing was removed from the adhesive, I added back a few of the stars so there would be a solid area to stamp the sentiment.

Then, I sprinkled a healthy amount of chunky glitter onto the remaining sticky openings and burnished it in using my fingers.  Yes, I should have worn gloves.

Finally, I adhered the oval image panel of King Bob, colored with Zig Real Brush Markers, to the front. I used my MISTI to stamp the Throw on a Crown sentiment a couple of times for maximum visibility on the uneven surface.

Snarky Crazy Alien Friendship Card

Greetings, Earthlings!  Toni here with you sharing a snarky friendship card.

To begin, I sponged the card front with shades of Catherine Pooler blue, then spattered with water and Copic Opaque White. I did know where my spaceship circle was going to go, so I could intentionally darken the area around the ship for depth.

I stamped the Alien Funny Face on scrap cardstock and colored it up. I intended to add glitter behind the acetate of the window he's peeking out of, but forgot, naturally.  LOL!

Card fully assembled and, more importantly, the blues dry, I stamped and embossed the Don't Understand sentiment in white.

Happy Valentine's Day, I Guess

Have you started on your Valentine's Day cards, or do you even celebrate?  I'd like to think my cat celebrates even if it's from under the bed when there are strangers in the house. LOL.  Toni (and her cat) here with a snarky little love card to share.
I stamped Annoyed Kitty on the front panel and watercolored the image with Zig Real Brush markers.

I had stamped the Who You Are sentiment, thinking to leave the card clean and simple, but it felt incomplete.  Thus, I decided to add the shimmery pink border with glittery heart garland. Now it feels like a proper Valentine!

Looking for Mr. Coffee Valentine

Holiday greetings, my friends!  Toni here sharing a snarky Valentine although that Helen with Coffee certainly conveys my exhaustion during the holidays.  Whew!

I stamped Helen with Coffee and the Mr. Coffee sentiment on Bristol cardstock. I then watercolored her with Zig Real Brush Markers. I created flooring using washi. Wasn't that easy?!

Cute Minion Kevin Valentine

Not so spooky greetings, my friends! Toni here with you today sharing a cheeky Valentine card.

First, I masked the card front using blue tape, then sponged a lips stencil with a bright pink ink.

I stamped Count Phil on a piece of scrap Bristol cardstock, then watercolored him using Zig Real Brush markers.  Next, I cut out the scalloped heart from white and sponged it using two shades of bright pink. I adhered Count Phil in the middle and trimmed away the excess paper.

Lastly, I embossed the Love Bites sentiment on black. How very fun!!

Enchanting Winter Fairy Snowflake Card

Hello, friends! Toni here sharing a quick holiday/winter card that would be super easy to customize.

I sponged the card front panel with a couple of shades of Catherine Pooler blue inks, using a hillside mask, then spattered with water. Imagine all the different colors you could use for the background!

Once dry, I stamped the Fairy Blowing Stars in black; I recommend using a stamping platform so you can repeat stamping to get the image as dark as I did.

The stamping platform is also handy for stamping the Blowing Snowflakes in white, as well as the

Frog Hoppy Holidays Card

Cheers, everyone!  Toni here with you today, sharing a super cute holiday card.
I was flipping through my Crackerbox Stamps stash and ran across the Frog 1 set that I hadn't used in a while.  It occurred to me that I could make the frog green and red for Christmas. How cute!

I stamped the frog and "hoppy" sentiment on the card front, colored it up, then added the finishing touches. Time for that Christmas party!

Heart Grew Three Sizes

Hello, friends! Toni here with another Grinch card as I (too) slowly build up my stash of holiday cards.
I stamped the Grinch Head Image on Copic-friendly paper and colored him up. Next, I cut out the image using 3 heart dies, adding plain hearts beneath to pop them up a bit.

Frankly, I was a bit worried about embossing the Grinch Small Heart Saying on the orange peel cardstock, but it did really well. I used my white pigment pen to fill in any egregious gaps.

Cindy Lou Who?

Toni here with you today, sharing a cheerful holiday card featuring my favorite holiday cartoon, How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I first cut out the frame using a candy-striped paper. Next, I stamped Grinch & Max as well as Cindy Lou, then colored them up with Zig Real Brush Markers. They're all so cute!

I embossed the Cindy Lou Saying sentiment in a bright red to coordinate with the frame. I had originally planned to leave the background white, but that seemed so plain vanilla, so I did a quick sponging with blue and a bit of spattering to mimic snow.

Funny Caterpillar Butterfly Card

Toni here with you today from under my cozy blankets. All this cool weather has got me wanting to hibernate.  You too?
I had gotten the Caterpillars and Saying stamps with the intention of creating a summer card, but that slipped by way too fast. A bit of mental gymnastics, and I turned it into an autumnal card instead.

To begin, I stamped the Fancy Butterfly with a melange of Catherine Pooler inks. The sentiment is stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I then die-cut some circles from the panel and popped them up to create the look of thought bubbles.

Next, I stamped the caterpillar and colored him up with Copics, adding a die-cut hill cut from scraps.

So Many Squirrels

Hello, friends!  Toni here with a snarky cute friendship card that's perfect for fall or anytime of the year.
I stamped and watercolored Duck Grin and Silly Squirrel Sm, placing them to leave space on the card front for the Don't Have Ducks in Row sentiment.

Next, I used a stencil to add falling hearts and acorns.  Originally, they were in a pale blue, but that seemed boring, so I added in fall colors like yellow and orange. Happy dancing now!

Dancing Leaves

Hello, friends! Toni here with you today. Fall is my favorite season so I'm in my happy place right now with crisp air, colorful leaves, and blue skies.

I tried to capture that in my card.  I stamped the Skeleton Leaf 2 using a variety of Catherine Pooler inks randomly applied before stamping.  I then sponged the edges of the card front with a blue Catherine Pooler ink and spattered with water.

Next, I sponged a Lawn Fawn leaves coverplate. Aren't those orange tones gorgeous against the blue?!  My final step was to stamp the Autumn Dancing sentiment.

Snarky Cowboy Costume Picture Card

Hello, pilgrims! Today I'm sharing a snarky kind of Halloween card with you.
I noticed the Cowboy was actually wearing a horse costume and not riding an actual horse so, of course, I thought of Halloween.

I decided to go vintage, so I colored the image with Polychromos colored pencils and created a Polaroid photo, combining that with the farm-themed papers and the hilarious Banister of Life sentiment.

This reminds me of Jack Palance's character in City Slickers.  LOL.

Fancy Halloween Witch

Toni here and I love spooky Halloween but cute definitely works for me too.  Is that true for you too?
I wanted to pair the Kid Witchy image with the Wicked Looked Good sentiment in some way and settled on the idea of a mirror.

I stamped and colored Kid Witchy with Copics, then fussy cut a rough oval to fit within the ornate oval die cut.  Next, I embossed the sentiment on vellum and fussy cut it out.  I added some fun Halloween striped paper as well as white pigment pen highlights. Adorable!

Halloween Witch Interactive Shaker Card

Before I start crafting Christmas cards in earnest, I'm knocking out some Halloween cards for funsies. Creepy cute is so my thing!
Are you familiar with the technique where you partially run a die through your machine so that it cuts out most of it, but leaves the rest attached?  That's what I did to create the aperture on the Witch with Crystal Ball then fussy cut along her hair.

I next colored the witch and sponged Catherine Pooler ink both inside the crystal ball and on the card front. I found the black die-cut on my desk, leftover from my Bee Girl friendship card, and used it as a border after stamping the Web Corners 2.

I added acetate to the aperture and built a foam barrier beneath to hold the glitter.  I also dabbed a bit of white pigment ink along the edges of the acetate to make it look misty.  The crystal ball reveals the Haunted House on Hill, which is a perfect Halloween mini scene.

I selectively embossed the Bats in the Belfry sentiment to finish my card.

Retro Gossip Girl Card

Are you a fan of retro/vintage artwork?  I love it.  There's just something about the 1940s-60s--at least as portrayed through the media. The old ads and Hollywood movies with their sassy characters are so fun.

I took inspiration from Graphic 45 paper that I had forgotten I had (what a surprise!).  Those dots and cherries were perfect to pair with Betty with Question Variations.

I embossed her on a sturdy vellum and fussy cut her out.  Then, I adhered her to the dotty red paper using liquid glue but shouldn't have put any glue under her fingertip.

The dots on cherry paper aren't white white but a bit gray so I chose a coordinating paper from my stash, stamping the Don't Repeat Gossip sentiment onto the banner and adding a contrasting banner beneath.

Seasonal Sale and Halloween Birthday Card

Toni here with you today helping a friend celebrate her Halloween birthday.  Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Halloween is a close second.
I sponged my card base with Catherine Pooler inks and spattered it with water.
I diecut the spooky border and adhered that to the card base, adding scraps of yellow behind the windows and pumpkin.
Next, I diecut the sentiment and sponged it with more Catherine Pooler Flame ink to match the orange I had colored the Pumpkin with Cat.

I decorated the inside of the card as well using Web Corners Set of 2 which frames a mashup sentiment I created using Bats in the Belfry and Birthday 1.

Sweet Friendship Card

Hi, everyone!  Today's card was really simple to make but still packs a lot of detail (and cute details at that).

I first stamped and colored the Bee Girl image on a piece of Copic-friendly cardstock. Then, I masked the image and used a honeycomb stencil with a purple Catherine Pooler ink.

Originally, I had planned to place the white panel on a plain black card front, but decided it needed something more. I used a Lawn Fawn scalloped die to fancy it up and adhered the lot to a bright yellow cardstock.

This was a great move, as now I had a colorful way forward with the sentiment die. So so cute!

Bold Geometric Cows

Have you ever looked for patterned paper in your stash, maybe even something that you know you have but can't find it for the life of you?  #relatable
I ended up creating my own cow background paper using a Hero Arts coverplate that I cut from both white and black cardstock, then reassembled. Lordy.  The things we do for our craft!

It was worth it as now Cow Bridgett and Cow 2 Bernice had the perfect background to showcase their gorgeous and sassy selves!

On the inside of the card, I stamped the Milk Can and the second half of the Your Day sentiment, which reads "milk it for all its worth."  A money saver is the saying, and milk can be sold as a set.

For the record, as I was putting away supplies, I found the cow paper I had been looking for.  Figures!
