Seasonal Sale and Halloween Birthday Card

Fall is coming, and we at Crackerbox Stamps are so ready for it!

To help you get ready, we're offering 20% off all Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas stamps between August 21-28.  No code needed; you'll find the sale price reflected in your cart.

Toni here with you today helping a friend celebrate her Halloween birthday.  Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Halloween is a close second.
I sponged my card base with Catherine Pooler inks and spattered it with water.
I diecut the spooky border and adhered that to the card base, adding scraps of yellow behind the windows and pumpkin.
Next, I diecut the sentiment and sponged it with more Catherine Pooler Flame ink to match the orange I had colored the Pumpkin with Cat.

I decorated the inside of the card as well using Web Corners Set of 2 which frames a mashup sentiment I created using Bats in the Belfry and Birthday 1.

Egg-citing Twist on a Classic

   Hi Everyone, Dalis here!

I love messing with my stamps and making them do things they were never meant to do. This time? That EGG SOLID stamp got flipped upside down and turned into a balloon—because why not? I kept the colors translucent so they actually look like real balloons (you’re welcome). Pro tip: draw your string all the way to the knot as a straight line before letting it do its wild stringy thing. Just a black gel pen, nothing fancy. The Happy Birthday sentiment tied it all together, but honestly? Think of the possibilities! One egg, one sentiment—this could be a graduation card, a congratulations card, basically an anything card. And yes, now I want to make a whole sky full of them.

Until next time— Stay colorful, stay crafty! -- Dalis

FORE!

Hello, Janet here with a card for the golfer in your life.
Using a small piece of white cardstock, I stamped the word golf and the tee with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the tee and embossed the cardstock to look like golf ball dimples. I die cut a strip of grass and attached it to the lower edge of the stamped cardstock. That cardstock is layered on burgundy paper. Then  I layered that onto printed design paper. The last layer is matching the burgundy paper before attaching it to the card.

Another Hit!

Hello, Janet here with a birthday baseball card.
First, I stamped the baseball, bat, and baseball mitt with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I colored them with colored pencils and cut them out. I layered a piece of printed baseball paper onto black cardstock and attached it to the card front. Next, using white cardstock, I cut out a home plate, and using a soft brush and brown ink, I made it look dirty. I layered it onto the card and attached the bat, baseball mitt, and baseball. Happy Birthday was stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink.

Bold Geometric Cows

Have you ever looked for patterned paper in your stash, maybe even something that you know you have but can't find it for the life of you?  #relatable
I ended up creating my own cow background paper using a Hero Arts coverplate that I cut from both white and black cardstock, then reassembled. Lordy.  The things we do for our craft!

It was worth it as now Cow Bridgett and Cow 2 Bernice had the perfect background to showcase their gorgeous and sassy selves!

On the inside of the card, I stamped the Milk Can and the second half of the Your Day sentiment, which reads "milk it for all its worth."  A money saver is the saying, and milk can be sold as a set.

For the record, as I was putting away supplies, I found the cow paper I had been looking for.  Figures!

Are you ready for some football!

Hello, Janet here with a card for the football fan in your life.

I stamped the helmet and football with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them with colored pencils and then cut them out. Placed them on brown printed paper. I cut strips of printed grass paper and placed them evenly on white cardstock. The brown paper is placed on the green football field.  Stamped Are You Ready For Some Football on light brown cardstock  with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink. I rounded the corners. Using a soft brush, I made the sentiment look distressed. It is attached to the upper left corner of the card.

Unicorn Birthday Wishes

Hello, Timothy here sharing a Unicorn Birthday Wishes card.
For this card, I was inspired by the colors in the plaid pattern paper.
I started with a green card base. I wrapped some ribbon around the plaid
paper, created a bow and layered it on top of the card base.
I colored the Unicorn Sweetie stamp with alcohol markers.
To make the hair look shiny, I added crosses and dots
with a white gel pen.
I stamped the Happy Birthday Script sentiment stamp
and cut it out with some layering dies.
I cut the larger layer from gold glitter cardstock and added
it on top of the ribbon. To finish the card, I added three enamel dots.

Summer Fairy Wishes

Hello, everyone!  Toni here and today's card commemorates summer--dandelion wishes, glorious sunsets (possibly sunrises but that's too early for me), and fireflies (aka fairies).
I used an oval mask along with Catherine Pooler inks to create a vibrant spotlight on the card front. Just imagine how many other color combos I could have used!

Next, I stamped the Fairy Blowing StarsDandelion & Fluff Set of 2, and Grass Set of 2 with Versafine Clair Nocturne.  I had used my MISTI so I could repeat stamp if needed, but with these red rubber stamps, I was good to go.  I stamped the Make a Wish sentiment last.

I particularly love the parts of the silhouette that extend beyond the edges of the sponged spotlight, don't you?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great rest of your day!

First I stamped the baseball, bat and glove with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on white cardstock. Then I colored them with colored pencils and cut them out. Next, I stamped Happy Birthday with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink on white cardstock. Using a soft brush and brown ink I smudged the blue and white  striped designer paper, Happy Birthday, the baseball, baseball glove and bat to make them a little dirty and look well played. I also roughed up the edges of the blue and red layers. I attached the baseball. baseball glove and bat onto the blue striped paper. That is then layered onto the blue and red cardstock. The sentiment is layered onto blue and red cardstock, and attached to the card.

Happy Belated Birthday Card

Yippee Yahoo! Timothy has created a belated birthday for you, in case life has been a little busy to get one done before the birthday. Anyone getting a card this nice wouldn't mind if it were a little late.
Timothy started with a dark brown card. He distressed a printed card.
You can distress paper by rubbing it on your scissors or using a distress tool.
He stamped the Tin Star on the background.
The saying, Birthday Fun was stamped and cut out with a die. He sponged an Ocure color around the edges.
Horse Hanging On was stamped, colored, and cut out. He hung this cute horse behind the Happy Birthday. How can you not smile looking at him?
The Little Behind saying was stamped and sponged on the edges.

Summer Life

Hi, Janet here with a refreshing card for summer. Soft waves at your feet and a tropical drink.
Using a soft brush and blue ink on white cardstock, I made the sky. Next, I layered some paper that looks like sand, with the top edge torn for a rough effect. The water is handmade blue paper with some sparkly flakes in it. It looks like water glistening in the sun. On a scrap piece of cardstock, with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the Life Is Too Short stamp, I stamped the beach items and sentiment. I colored all items with colored pencils and cut them out. I attached them to the front of the card.

Hello, Janet here with a sweet birthday card for you.
I stamped the Cupcake with Strawberry using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a die-cut tag. I colored it with copic markers.
