Real Life Superhero Card

Happy New Year!!  This is Shanna from Caffeinated Craftiness here today with a card that hits close to the heart for me.  I am choosing to use today to reflect, rather than create resolutions.  Some of you may know that I am a registered nurse.  The past 2 years have been hard on EVERYONE but definitely have been stressful for healthcare workers.  I like to give cards to my coworkers from time to time just to remind them that they DO matter amidst all the heartache and politics in our current life.

This card features the following Crackerbox Stamps:

A Lady Scrub with Heart
Real Life Super Hero
Set of 3, Heart Hat, Thermometer
Set of 3 Mask, Stethoscope, Syringe

I thought the scrub top would look super cute paper pieced so I snagged some scraps from an old 6x6 paper pad and got to work. It came together really simple!  The background was stamped with all of the medical icon stamps in light gray ink, and then I heat embossed my sentiment onto black cardstock and layered it over two narrow strips of the same paper I paper-pieced the scrub top from. Very easy design to mass-produce and gift to fellow healthcare workers in your community.

Happy New Year's to all of my Crackerbox Stamps fans and family!

2020

Hi Everybody,

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.

Cornelia here today, having fun with my Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.

So far 2020 has been quite something and Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps expressed that quite accurately with this custom 2020 stamp that you can get in the store. I think it captures the essence of this year. I used the COVID-19 virus as cornerstones and created a frame, filling it with the dot splatter stamp  and grey sponging. I also used the technique of the month - using stamps as frame for this card.
In case you are wondering about that feisty little dog - it's from a different stamp company (Cats on Appletrees) and not available in the US. I am aware that I shouldn't mix stamp companies, but I simply could not resist ;)

Here are the 20% off stamp sale categories:
The August card technique is USE STAMPS FOR A FRAME .
Image may contain: text that says 'x o Cracherbor Suzy & Stamps rubberartstamps.com August Sale 20% OFF On stamp categories Babies Dinosaurs Fish No coupon code needed discount will be applied at checkout Free Shipping $45 US Orders $65 International く'

You can get $5.00 store credit once a week. Each month we will have several categories on sale for 20% OFF and a technique for that month. All you have to do is make a card with at least one stamp from the sales category and use the technique (in June its "stencil") and
Vicky will put $5.00 on your store account and leave you a comment that it is done. We can't wait to see your creative work!

Get Well Card for COVID-19

Hi Everybody,

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.

Cornelia here today.
While I sincerely hope you don't know anyone who is suffering severely from COVID-19, you still may know people who could get a little uplift and healing vibes.

This pair of COVID-19 viruses is in the store and they sure make a colorful background! I made myself a mask and sponged the viruses in rainbow colors. I know It's mostly displayed in grey with red spikes, but that is just one way of looking at it.....Colored the spikes with a red marker. I heat embossed the sentiment and added it to my card with foam tape. Also used some Bakers twine.

Here are the 20% off stamp sale categories:
The July card technique is MASK.

Artsy American Flag

Hi Everybody,

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.

Cornelia here today. As some of you probably know I deeply support justice, equity and diversity. The current events I feel are necessary and long overdue. We can not discriminate on the basis of skin color or anything else! After all diversity is what makes us unique and special and wouldn't it be boring, if we all would be the same?
Out of my beliefs I created this card.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps has this amazing American Flag in the store. I first inked it up in grey and then again in blue and red, according to the flag colors. But this way it stays subdued. I added this wonderful stencil to the bottom of the flag. It is from iStencil and you can find it HERE.

I did not think this cards needs a sentiment - it speaks for itself.

In case you want to learn more about the origins of racism I have some more information
on my blog.

Here are the 20% off stamp sale categories:
The card technique is MASK.

Thank You For All You Do

Hello crafty friends! Tracy here, and today I have a nurse themed thank you card to share. Perfect for that hard working nurse in your life. I chose to create this one more feminine using the ladies scrub top image, but we also have the perfect men's scrub top too.
You can find all of the first responder/nurse/doctor stamps HERE.
Here are all of the details.

Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Used:

Ladies Scrubs                      Nurse Set of 3                     Thank You For All You Do

Other Products Used:
MISTI
Staz On Ink- Jet Black
Zig Clean Color Markers
Waterbrush
Distress Oxide Ink- Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron
Blending Tool
Cardstock- White
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L- 3D Foam Squares, E-Z Runner Petite, Thin 3D Foam Squares, Crafty Foam Tape

I created a simple blended background using Distress Oxide Inks and a blending tool. Then using the MISTI I added the card's sentiment.

Stamp the nurse images onto white cardstock and add colour to them using Zig Clean Color Markers and a waterbrush.

Fussy cut out the images. Add the large heart to the bottom left hand corner of the card using Thin 3D Foam, then using a black journal pen I drew more of the heartbeat pattern to create a border. I cut a small slit in the scrub top pocket and added the thermometer. Add the other fussy cut images to the card again using Thin 3D Foam.

Happy Flag Day Hero!

Hello everyone,

It's Donna here, Happy June, can you believe it's not Summer yet and we are already having 80 degree weather?  We still have about three more weeks before Summer to really kicks in.  Time sure is flying when your having fun (lol).  I am featuring the newly released American Flag Waving rubber stamp and the sentiment Hero.  I thought this was the perfect stamp to show this week since Flag Weeks starts June 14th and July 4th is next month.

My card is an A2 top folding card.  I had the paper I used on my card in my stash, I cut the paper 4 1/4 x 5 /2 and cut it diagonally and added it to the base of my card.  I stamped the American Flag Waving, colored it with copics and then stamped the sentiment Hero.  I die cut the image and sentiment with a stitched die in my stash and then added foam tape to the back and added it to my card.  I added some clear stars that where also in my stash.

Here are the specials for the month of June:

Thank you so much for stopping by, please come back soon.

Making a Simple Card + A Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! It's Lindsay here with you today and I am super excited to share with my card with you today. I finally had the chance to use the new nurse/medical stamps that were recently released into the Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps Shop and I just made a card with them. So that's what I'm sharing in today's video tutorial. A simple handmade card for a first responder! Check it out below!

The video above does contains products that were sent to me free of charge for design purposes. I only ever design for companies that I can stand behind 100%! This post also contains affiliate links.

There really isn't a lot to this card. It's a bit of stamping, coloring and stenciling and that's it! I used the "Lady Scrub with Heart" stamp to quickly stamp out and color the main image on the card. After fussy cutting, I popped it onto a stenciled card base. Finally, I added my sentiment which is the "Real Life Superhero" sentiment, with a flag banner! SUPER SIMPLE!!!

Before I go, I want to remind you of the awesome sales happening in the shop this month!

I hope you all enjoyed the video tutorial today! If you are interested in any of the supplies I used, they are all linked below. Until next time, happy crafting!!

The Real Superheroes

Hello everyone!!  Shanna here today from Caffeinated Craftiness to share some fun inspiration...

Have you seen the new Real Life Superhero release yet from Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps??  GREAT NEWS!!  Now they have added even MORE stamps that aren't strictly nurse-related.  Firefighter, EMT, and First Responders are now represented in the release as well.  With the world's current events, there isn't a more relevant release happening right now!!  My card today features 2 of the stamps from this release, but you can view the entire release by clicking HERE.

This month's theme over in the Facebook Crackerbox and Suzy Stamps Flaunt it if You Made it group is "Fun-Fold Cards"!  I rarely make a non-traditional fold card, but I pushed myself outside my comfort zone and went on Pinterest to find one!!  I ended up following this tutorial to make a pop-up fun fold card using some of the new stamps!!  Here it is! It folds flat to fit into a standard A2 size envelope too, so total win!

The Nurse stamp was colored using my Nuvo alcohol markers and then fussy cut out before mounting to the card base with foam tape.  The sentiment is called Real Life Superhero and was stamped using Versafine Clair ink in green oasis.

Overall, I really enjoyed making something different!  I challenge all of you to do the same and share it in the group, there is a 5.00 store credit incentive to play along!!  Show us whatcha got!!!

Here are this month's sales happening for the month of May:
