Minion Kevin Golfing Card

Hello, my fellow minions! Toni here today, wrapping up my homage to Hollywood movies, Minions-style.  Do you recognize this one?

There are a couple of guesses that come to my mind, but I was inspired by Happy Gilmore.

I stamped and colored up Kevin Golfing on a Copic-friendly card base. I didn't mask him when I stenciled the clouds, and this time managed not to blue him up.

My final touches included adding a grassy hill on which I had stamped and embossed the Life Coming at You sentiment, as well as stamping some bird silhouettes in the sky.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.

Happy Birthday from Carl

Hello, Janet here with Carl wishing you a very happy birthday. He is so excited!

I stamped Happy Carl with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored him and cut him out. The Happy Happy Birthday sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Nocturne ink on a rectangular piece of paper. Using blue cardstock, I cut a slightly larger one to layer it on. I attached the sentiment to a piece of birthday printed paper.  The printed paper is layered on matching blue cardstock. I put Carl on with foam squares to look 3D.

Banana Love Song Card

Vicky is here with you today.
I have Stuart and Lucy unleashing their inner rockstars! Stuart is playing his guitar with Lucy as they play a fun banana-themed song. We all know Minions have a special place in their hearts for those yellow wonders, so is it a love song?
2 days left on the sale!
I first stamped Lucy and Stuart Playing. I made a mask for the two of them.
The Bunch of Bananas were stamped all over.
I made a mask for the 4 bunches of bananas at the bottom of the card.
The bricks are a stencil I used with light, dark, and grey inks.
The round Word Bubble was stamped between the two Minions.
Banana was stamped in the word bubble in VersaFine Black.
I used a light blue marker around the inner word bubble.
I sponged the same blue around the edges, which didn't show up very well.
Last, I colored everything.

What kind of song would you have Lucy and Stuart singing?

Have a fabulous day!!

Life

Hello, Janet here with a light-hearted card. Carl doesn't let the world's stress get him down. Maybe we should take his advice.
I stamped Carl being happy with Memento Tuxedo black ink on white cardstock. I colored him with Copic markers and cut him out. I stamped the sentiment, when life knocks you down, with Clair VersaFine Nocturne ink on white cardstock. I cut it out also. I tore the edge of a small strip of printed paper that looks like grass. Carl is attached with foam squares to give him some dimension on the green grass. I layered the grass on star-patterned paper, then onto navy cardstock for the bottom layer. The sentiment is attached to the upper right corner.

Jaws: Minion's Version

Happy summer, friends!  Toni here today with another card inspired by the latest Minion movie, Monsters & Minions. Do you recognize the movie reference here?

I die-cut two panels with a wave die and layered them upon the card base, which I had sponged and spattered.

Next, I stamped and colored up Dave Jumping, positioning him between the waves so it looks like he's swimming . . . in Jaws the Shark-infested waters.

Doesn't he realize that What Doesn't Kill You makes you stronger, except sharks?!!  The fool!

Be sure to check out the 25% off sale on Minion stamps. There are lots of other amazing stamps that you could use with them too!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.

Just Peeking In

Hello, Janet here with a cute minion card. The new movie is bringing the minions back into the spotlight!

I started out by stamping the minions on white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo black ink. Then I colored them with copic markers. Just Peeking In, is stamped at the top with Clair VersaFine Nocturne ink. I layered the stamped cardstock onto light blue cardstock. The next layer is yellow and white checkered paper. Wassup?! Scary Movie Minion

Happy summer, friends! Toni here today with you to kick off the summer of Minions, including a sale on all Minions in the shop!

The Minions are ridiculously cute and I love using them in cardmaking. Couple that with my love of stretching my supplies in unexpected ways and you have the perfect mash up!

I was inspired by the new Minions & Monsters movie to create a series of cards based on--you guessed it--Hollywood movies.  The first is inspired by the satirical Scary Movies series, with #6 releasing earlier this year.

I stamped then masked the Cell Phone before stamping the Ghost Minion on the screen. I drew in the ghost face mask--and it looks it which makes it even funnier to me.

Next, I sponged the background in blue and embossed the Hashtags Snarky. I balanced the phone using  whimsical alphabet dies. And I had to use up that background pattern paper.  Just too cute!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.

Thankful Fore You

Hello, for today's card, I started with a green card base. Next I layered a piece of blue cardstock, followed by a piece of plaid pattern paper. I used green cardstock and a grass die and layered that on top of the plaid paper. I colored the Bob Golfing stamp and popped him up with foam squares. I cut out a stitched tag in green card stock and created the sentiment using the One In A Minion and Thanks stamps. I cut the word "fore" in black cardstock using alphabet dies and layered it on blue cardstock. I stapled some bakers twine to the top of the tag and added it to the card with foam squares. To finish the card, I added three sequins. Thanks for stopping by and have a nice day.

You Make Me Smile

Hello, for today's card, I started with a white card base. Next, I die cut a stitched rectangle to layer onto the card base. On the yellow layer, I stamped the You Make Me Smile sentiment stamp in black. I also stamped the Banana Bunch and Banana Single stamps randomly in yellow ink for a tone-on-tone look. I die cut a wonky circle from textured blue cardstock. I stamped and colored the Stuart Smirking stamp and added him on top of the blue circle. To finish the card, I added three clear sequins. Thanks for stopping by, and have a nice day.

Get Well Minion Card

Hello, it's Timothy, sharing a get well card.

For today's card, I started with a beige card base. I chose gingham paper for the background and I used a spiral notebook paper to get the look on the left side. I cut two wonky die cut circles and distressed the edges using a finger dauber. I stamped the Get Well Soon Short stamp and cut it out using a die from my stash. Next I stamped, colored and cut out the Medicine Bottle And Medicine and Mummy Stuart stamps and popped them up using Foam Squares. To finish my card, I added three gold sequins. Thanks for stopping by and be well.

Yas, King Bob!

Hello, friends! Toni here with a whimsical Minions friendship/encouragement card. You can't go wrong with a Minion!

First, I die-cut the card front using a star coverplate. I then adhered that to the card front by covering the entire back with double-sided adhesive. Once the backing was removed from the adhesive, I added back a few of the stars so there would be a solid area to stamp the sentiment.

Then, I sprinkled a healthy amount of chunky glitter onto the remaining sticky openings and burnished it in using my fingers.  Yes, I should have worn gloves.

Finally, I adhered the oval image panel of King Bob, colored with Zig Real Brush Markers, to the front. I used my MISTI to stamp the Throw on a Crown sentiment a couple of times for maximum visibility on the uneven surface.

A Minion Valentine

Hello, Timothy here sharing a Minion Valentine card.
I started with an aqua card base. Next I used red glitter cardstock to cut out the background die. With coordinating pattern paper, I used the inside layer dies to fill in the rest of the card front. I stamped the Heart Boxers stamp on the pink paper and colored in the hearts with alcohol markers. I also colored the Stuart Smirking stamp and popped him up with foam squares. I used the Minion 1 stamp set for the sentiment, which I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and also popped it up with foam squares. Thanks so much for stopping by,

Timothy
