Kooky Minion Halloween Card

Boo!  Toni here with you today sharing a really cute and rather kooky Halloween card featuring Dave Jumping.

My idea was to use Dave Jumping as hanging from a Witch's Broom zipping around in the night sky.

I masked a circle on the card front and used my Copic Airbrush to color the background in shades of patchy blue as though there's a bit of cloud cover.  I spattered alcohol to create the large drops then Copic Opaque White for stars.

Using Copics I colored up the images as well as added a few craters to the moon which I sponged lightly in yellow along the edges.

Finally I stamped the Harry P 1 and embossed it in white. How perfect is that sentiment for pretty much any Minion card, right?

Bright & Spooky Minion Halloween

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a bright and spooky Minion Halloween card.

My first step was sponging the background using Catherine Pooler inks.  I applied a spiderweb stencil on top of that then spattered the lot with water.

Next I colored up the Tombstone Lg and Ghost Minion using Copics.  Notice how I aged the gravestone by spritzing a paper towel with alcohol and pressing it against the colored image--it lifts the color away in random ways.

To complete the scene, I stamped the Tree Wide Bare on the background then diecut a spooky fence and grass.

Minion Mischief and Easy Card Backgrounds

Hello and welcome!  This is Shanna today for Crackerbox Stamps  and I have a brand new card featuring our favorite yellow-banana loving- mischeif makers!! MINIONS!

Today's card features the following stamps:
I had a lot of fun coloring Sassy Dave and his Fart Gun!  I fussy cut them both off, cutting around Dave's arm so he could "hold" the Fsrt Gun more effectively *hehe*.

My background was made by ink Smooshing distress oxides onto watercolor paper.  Oxides are a lot of fun for this technique because they have the ability to "layer" on top of each other since the are somewhat opaque.  The key to not having the colors overman together is allowing the colors to dry before adding one on top.  I used Squeezed Lemonade, Blueprint Sketch, and Lost Shadow to create my background.

Once the background was completely dry I heat embossed my If People are Talking sentiment and stamped the Poof onto the background panel in black and gray inks.  The focal images were added to the panel using liquid adhesive to keep it simpler to mail.

Thanks so much for dropping by!  Be sure to return again soon for another dose of Crackerbox Stamps inspiration!

Love Bites!

Hello Janet here with another cute Vampire Halloween Minion!

I stamped the Vampire Carl, colored him and cut him out. Then I started layering paper on the white card stock, black and then red. The top layer is bat printed paper that I rounded the lower right corner. I put the Vampire Carl on a piece of gray scalloped paper so he looks like he is coming out of the sky and attached that in the upper left corner. Love Bites is stamped in the very left corner. I drew some fangs and cut them out to add a little more bite to the card!

Are you ready to get your spook on, my friends?  Toni here with you today sharing a not too spooky Minions Halloween card.

I started the card by cutting out "Minions" in a stitched alphabet and coloring them with Copics.

I stamped Count Phil above and used the same reds on his cloak.  I added the Look for Rainbows sentiment, having masked off the "rainbows" portion and replacing it with "minions." LOL--boo!!!

Minions Halloween Fun-Fold & Snarky Christmas Cards

Hello, my friends!  Toni here with you today sharing a couple of cards using Minion characters from the new red rubber release. Let me show you but first take a look at all the cuteness!

My first project is a fun-fold Halloween card. I started my card by creating an easel very simply using an A2 card base where I scored the front at the halfway point, 2-1/8", in this case, and folded it into a mountain.

In order for the easel to stay upright, you need to add a little berm on the interior of the card that the front can rest against.  I used a piece of designer paper along with a strip of black glitter washi I had adhered to a piece of black cardstock to give it a bit more height.  I embossed the Don't Scare Me sentiment in white and added a couple of spider enamel dots.

Next I stamped and masked the minions, from left to right: Dave Jumping with Minion 1 bunny ears, Mummy StuartBride KevinGhost MinionFranken Bob, and Count Phil on a piece of Bristol and watercolored them with Zig Real Brush Markers.  I adhered this panel to only the bottom half of the card base folded panel so that when you mail it, it's completely flat.

As for the speech bubbles, I printed those on my laser printer with Aptos size 9 font, printed with white text on a black fill. They add a bit of extra fun.

For the Christmas card, I stamped Reindeer Stuart using Memento Tuxedo Black and masked the left antler before stamping Blowing Snowflakes.  I colored him up with Copics then added a snowy hill and the hilarious Winter Lovers sentiment balanced out by Snowflake Trio.
