Sheetload of Father's Day Cards | 12 Sketches, 24 Cards Series

Hello and welcome!  This is Shanna today with the next installment in my 12 Sketches | 24 Cards series!  This is a series in which I select a card sketch off the internet and create TWO (well-at least two!) versions of it using Crackerbox Stamps! If this is your first time reading about this--be sure to read all the way to the end for a recap of the series so far!

*Warning* I might have gotten a bit carried away this month, and the following post is very photo-heavy!!

This month's sketch was sourced from a YouTube creator named CraftyAl.  She creates a monthly sketch that utilizes 12x12 paper to mass produce a set of cards!  I chose to use the April 2024 sketch to play along with my challenge this month! I was inspired to use the sketch and pair it with the brand new Father clear polymer stamp set--using the majority of the seed to create a fun set of cards!

The way the sketch is designed makes it create 8 cards--which was a perfect way to showcase a new sentiment stamp set!  I loved going through my collection and pulling out stamps to match the sentiments!  I grabbed stamps I haven't used in a while and was so happy to pull back out again.  I kept the techniques simple with these--a little heat embossing and some tone on tone stamping.

Here are some of my tips when mass producing cards:

  • Pick a color way--that means if you are using pattern paper, stick within those colors and have a stack nearby of inks and solid papers to choose from when designing the card.
  • Don't be afraid to turn the card!  Some of these sentiments or images just did not work for a portrait designed layout--so I turned it into a landscape layout instead!
  • White pigment ink is your friend!  White is neutral, and will pull into nearly ANY design--I was stuck on a card or two until I pulled my trusty white ink pad out to play!
Ok--that pretty much sums up the key points--time to show you the cards!

Super Guy with Father sentiment

Frame Rectangle with Father sentiment

When I Dunk (masked) , Alien Funny Face with Father  sentiment

Outhouse with Father  sentiment

Stars/Pixie Dust with Father sentiment

Pocket with Father sentiment

Snapdragon  with Father sentiment

Fireworks with Father sentiment

Aren't those fun!!!  I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are enjoying the series so far!

Bathroom Humor Card

Hello friends! Ericka here, and today, I have a little bathroom humor in a card.

I stamped the Bathtub and Bathtub Life Saying stamps (comes in a set) on a white card base using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and clear embossed it. I colored up the image with some Sharpies and used some blue ink to lightly blend ink around the edges. I added a hand drawn border to finish my card. I love these humorous stamps for quick cards to make friends smile. Check out some more fun ones here.

King of the Throne Father's Day Card

Hello, card loving friends! Tracy here, and today I have a fun little Father's Day themed card to share. Here are all of the details.

Crackerbox Stamps Used:

Create a simple layered card base using patterned paper and coordinating cardstock. Stamp the Toilet image twice onto white cardstock using black ink. Stamp the sentiment on the toilet seat of one. Fussy cut that sentiment image just around the seat and base of the toilet. Fussy cut out the other toilet. Add the fussy cut piece to the base using foam squares.
Add the toilet to the card front. The "Happy" and "Day" are from the patterned paper collection I chose. I used alpha stickers to create the "Birthday" part of the sentiment. Add the sentiment to the bottom of the card using foam squares.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Another Year Down The Drain Birthday Card

Hi there! Vicky here today with some birthday toilet humor.

I drew the squares and colored them in. I used printed card stock for wallpaper.
I placed the toilet on some cardstock to see where the Toilet Roll would go. I removed the toilet, and I stamped the Toilet Roll and, masked it, then stamped the Toilet and added shading.
I stamped Plunger and colored it. The Toilet Roll and Plunger is a set.
I stamped Birthday 8. I cut out all of the stamped images.

I stamped Another Year Down The Drain on the inside.
Hope you enjoyed the card.

Self Care is the BEST Care!

Hello and Welcome! This is Shanna here today from Caffeinated Craftiness with another red-rubber inspired project featuring stamps from Crackerbox Stamps!
Today's card was a happy accident (channeling my inner Bob Ross here). I was organizing my collection of 6x6 papers and came across this print in my stash---I immediately KNEW I had the perfect stamp to match! Pretty sure the tubs are nearly identical!

STAMPS USED:
If you like them both--they are also available as a set of 2 stamps.

I did a Z-fold card fun fold for this card and love how it came out. I colored the tub to look like the one on the paper, grabbing a gold gel pen for the metallic finish.
I plan on giving this to my bestie with some bath bombs for Valentine's/Galentines day this year. So fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. See you again here soon!

Positive Thought For A Friend

Hello Crafters! Vicky is here today with a card to cheer up a friend with a bit of humor. I stenciled the background. I stamped the pocket with orange ink to make the stitching look like Levi's.
The Pocket was stamped on light blue and stippled dark blue over it. I stamped the tag on the red cardstock and wrote Levi on it. Colored the studs in the corners with a metallic pen. Stamped Don't Give Up with VersaFine.

The Phone was stamped on white card stock and colored.
Hashtag Poop Emoji was stamped on the phone.

Snarky Retirement Card

Hi Everybody! Cornelia here today. Crackerbox Stamps had a few fabulous new releases, as you probably know!

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me from various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.

I first stamped the bunny, masked it, and then stamped the outhouse. Colored them with Copics. Took an Exacto knife and cut out the door. Heat embossed the sentiment onto some scrap pieces of brown cardstock. Glued it to the back of the card, did some more masking, and sponged a bit for the background. Added the sentiment.

The stamps I used:

I hope you liked this. Thanks for visiting!
Happy Stamping!

Bathroom Humor Card by Martha Lucia

Hello there! Martha Lucia is here to share a bathroom humor card from our most recent release. Definitely, this new collection makes you smile always! With these new stampsjust let your imagination and humor fly, and you can create easy projects just like I did.

I am using the Toilet Roll on Holder Stamp on this card, and the sentiment Job Isn't Finished. First, I created the card base using Melon CenturaPearl cardstock. Then, I cut the second layer a little smaller than the card base. I just die-cut a lateral border with the Create Slimline Borders to decorate it.
On a separate piece of White Smooth Cardstock, I stamped the Toilet Roll on Holder Stamp and covered it with Spectrum Noir Glossy Highlights to add texture and shine. When the paper was dry, I fussy cut it with scissors and pasted it over the decorated card base leaving a space down to stamp the sentiment Job Isn't Finished. As a final touch, I pasted the decorated layer over the card base using crafty foam tape to add more dimension and enhance the gorgeous design of the border.

Another Birthday, Just Roll With It Card

Hello! Nadine here today with a birthday card using some of the newly released stamps.

I first stenciled the background with a brick stencil using ink. Then stamped the Toilet Roll On Holder stamp and colored it with Copic Markers. For the sentiment, I used the Roll With It stamp. The sentiment comes as one stamp, so I inked and stamped the top part of it onto the toilet paper and then inked and stamped the bottom half. I then fussy cut out the toilet paper roll and adhered it to the card front with foam squares.

Let it Goooooo Bathroom Humor Card

Hello and welcome! This is Shanna today with another fabulous red-rubber inspired card project. Have you had a chance to visit the Crackerbox Stamps site yet and seen the newest release??  The stamps are utterly hilarious and snarky!!  I gathered a bunch of the new ones for my card today!

Today's card features:

This card was a lot of fun to make--and was made easy by using Rinea Foil and Ghost Ink 2.0.  The ink reacts with the foil to lift off the color, leaving the silver base behind.  So I just stamped all over the background with the multiple sentiments and voila!  Toilet Paper on Roll stamp was heat embossed in gold onto vellum and cut out.  I also heat embossed the Well Crap sentiment onto that final square of the toilet paper -hehe.  To add dimension and some variation to the gold--I grabbed my gold glitter Nuvo drops and used them on the vellum where the holder was.

This mini-slimline card makes me giggle and makes a perfect masculine card.  I could see a belated birthday, or apology cad---maybe even a "you'll get through this" type of card that would make the recipient smile for sure!  Who would YOU give this card to?

That wraps up my post for today!  Thanks for stopping by.

Stenciled Card with Snarky Stamps

Hello there, Martha Lucia here to share a card created with a stencil and two fabulous stamps Some People Speak and the Mosquito Bug.

The process to create this card was very simple. I first created the card base using White Smooth Cardstock. Then I cut a second layer that I stenciled with VersaColor White Pigment Ink.
I let the ink dry naturally and after a while, I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of white smooth cardstock. Then I stamped on the upper part of the Mosquito Bug and fussy cut it with scissors.
Additionally, I resized the layer of the sentiment using a Scalloped Stitched Rectangle Mini slimline Die that I cut above the middle. I arranged all the pieces with Crafty Foam Tape to have different levels and made them more attractive.

Thanks for stopping by and if you want to see more photos and details about this card, you can find them in my STAMPARTPAPEL Blog.

A Card Of Encouragement

Hello Stamper! Vicky here today sharing a card with a bit of humor and encouragement, or if someone needs a little pick-me-up. I am using a couple of new stamps from Crackerbox Stamps. This could be used in so many different situations. I have a friend getting a divorce and another friend getting a colonoscopy, so I am not sure which one will get this card because it could be used for either of them. Maybe I will just make another one.

I used Tree Sm. for the weeds around the outhouse.

I stamped with Memento ink and colored the Outhouse with Copic markers. I mixed Brillance greens for the weeds and used Tree Sm. The saying Everything Comes Out was stamped with VersaFine.

Hope you have a great day; thanks for stopping by and taking a look.
