Making A Easter Card ~ Crackerbox Stamps Blog

Hi everyone! It's Lindsay here with you today, from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog and YouTube Channel. I am SOOO excited to share my card with you today because I have been waiting since last year to make it! I ran out of time last Easter season to use the Easter Scene stamp from the shop, so when I seen that Easter stamps were on sale this month, I knew I had to take advantage and make a card using this stamp! Like I said above I have been waiting to use the Easter Scene stamp for quite awhile now. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it! The scene reminded me of something you would see in an old storybook, with light washed out color, so I decided to watercolor.

I am most comfortable watercoloring with my Arteza Brush Markers. But these are not subtle colors! They are so pigmented, but it's easy to dilute them down by applying them to a palette and picking them up with a water brush. Be sure to watch the video to see the entire coloring process.

The background for this card was simple! I used Catherine Pooler inks on heavyweight cardstock, along with a flat water brush to create a quick gingham pattern.

The final step, after assembling the card, was adding the sentiment. I have to admit I forget about sentiments so often, until the very last step. That's why so many are put onto flag banners! But the Tiny Words sentiment sets come in so handy in cases like this. I added the Blessings word from Tiny Words 3 sentiment set for the final touch!
