Halloween Witch Interactive Shaker Card

Before I start crafting Christmas cards in earnest, I'm knocking out some Halloween cards for funsies. Creepy cute is so my thing!
Are you familiar with the technique where you partially run a die through your machine so that it cuts out most of it, but leaves the rest attached?  That's what I did to create the aperture on the Witch with Crystal Ball then fussy cut along her hair.

I next colored the witch and sponged Catherine Pooler ink both inside the crystal ball and on the card front. I found the black die-cut on my desk, leftover from my Bee Girl friendship card, and used it as a border after stamping the Web Corners 2.

I added acetate to the aperture and built a foam barrier beneath to hold the glitter.  I also dabbed a bit of white pigment ink along the edges of the acetate to make it look misty.  The crystal ball reveals the Haunted House on Hill, which is a perfect Halloween mini scene.

I selectively embossed the Bats in the Belfry sentiment to finish my card.

Fall Scene

Hello Stampers. Happy Fall! Vicky here today with a Fall scene.
It has gotten cooler here in WI. The fall colors are just starting to show on some of the trees, and the flowers are looking tired. But the pumpkins and apples are ready to take over. I am looking forward to apple donuts, pumpkin coffee, and desserts, and of course, all of the beautiful colors.

Purr-fectly Snarky

    Hi Everyone, Dalis here!

This sentiment is basically me in stamp form—funny, snarky, and everything in between! While browsing the Crackerbox Stamps store, I stumbled across this kitty, and it was love at first sight. Total purr-fection! For the background, I wanted a mixed media vibe, but still kept the overall card simple. A little stencil work and watercoloring tied it all together just right.

Supply List:

Additional Supplies: Memento Tuxedo Black, Watercolor pencils, white gel pen, stitched frame die, Molding paste and blue bling.

Until next time— Stay colorful, stay crafty! -- Dalis

Fall Card

Hello Stamper. It is starting to get cooler here in WI, so I am getting my fall cards ready.
Vicky here to share a Fall card.
Not sure if you agree, but I am ready for some weather that is under 90 degrees.
I love the Fall colors, and I used some of them on this card.
This Blowing Leaves stamp can be colored in greens for the summer or fall colors.
The white cardstock was cut 4x5.25. I sponged fall colors around the edges.
First, I stamped the saying, Fallen Leaf with VersaFine Black Ink.
I stamped the Blowing Leaves so the end of the stamp is by the A on the saying.
Mounted the card on white and then on a rust color cardstock.

Hope you enjoyed the card, Vicky

A Grinchy Christmas

Hello, Timothy here with a Grinchy Christmas card.
I wanted to go with a non-traditional color scheme for this card.
I used the Grinch and Max stamp for the focal point.
I stamped the Christmas Trees 3 stamps and colored and cut them out.
I used some pattern paper for the background and used
pink glitter cardstock for the floor.
I added a chipboard sentiment to the top of the card.
I layered the card front to a purple card base.
Have a great day.

When Bugs Go BOO: A Playful Halloween Card

   Hi Everyone, Dalis here!

The days are starting to cool off, which means pumpkin spice everything is about to take over. I’ll be honest—I’m not a fan of the flavor, but I can definitely get behind all the Halloween cards, posts, and decorations that come with the season.

For this card, I reached for the Bug Scary stamp from Crackerbox Stamps and started stamping them in a rainbow pattern. My original idea was to go through the entire rainbow in order, but partway through I thought—how fun would it be if they were holding a BOO sign instead? That idea completely changed the direction of the card.

I played around with different layouts, trying to figure out the best way to work the letters in, until I landed on a version that made me smile. It has just the right touch of funny and spooky mixed together. What do you think—would you have kept the full rainbow, or gone with the BOO like I did?

Supply List:

Additional Supplies: Watercolor pencils, white gel pen, embossing folder, and cutting machine for BOO sign.

Until next time— Stay colorful, stay crafty! -- Dalis

Love Is In The Air This Fall

Ericka has a very sweet saying on her beautiful Fall colored card.
After making the background and mounting it on black cardstock,
Ericka stamped the saying, The Best Thing and embossed it in white.
The Blowing Leaves Tree was stamped at the bottom and embossed in white.

Retro Gossip Girl Card

Are you a fan of retro/vintage artwork?  I love it.  There's just something about the 1940s-60s--at least as portrayed through the media. The old ads and Hollywood movies with their sassy characters are so fun.

I took inspiration from Graphic 45 paper that I had forgotten I had (what a surprise!).  Those dots and cherries were perfect to pair with Betty with Question Variations.

I embossed her on a sturdy vellum and fussy cut her out.  Then, I adhered her to the dotty red paper using liquid glue but shouldn't have put any glue under her fingertip.

The dots on cherry paper aren't white white but a bit gray so I chose a coordinating paper from my stash, stamping the Don't Repeat Gossip sentiment onto the banner and adding a contrasting banner beneath.

Fall thank you card

Hello, Janet here with a simple thank you card. It is time to get out those fall stamps.

I started out with white cardstock. Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped the pumpkin in the lower right corner. I colored it with Copic markers. Thank You is stamped in the upper left corner with Clair VersaFine Nocturne Ink. Using a soft brush and gold ink I added color to the edges and lightly all over. I layered the cardstock at an angle on a slightly larger piece of gold corrugated paper. That is layered on fall colors printed paper. Using a piece of twine, I tied a bow around the edge of the card. I attached that to a the card.

Seasonal Sale and Halloween Birthday Card

Toni here with you today helping a friend celebrate her Halloween birthday.  Although Christmas is my favorite holiday, Halloween is a close second.
I sponged my card base with Catherine Pooler inks and spattered it with water.
I diecut the spooky border and adhered that to the card base, adding scraps of yellow behind the windows and pumpkin.
Next, I diecut the sentiment and sponged it with more Catherine Pooler Flame ink to match the orange I had colored the Pumpkin with Cat.

I decorated the inside of the card as well using Web Corners Set of 2 which frames a mashup sentiment I created using Bats in the Belfry and Birthday 1.

Aye Matey Pirate Card

Hello Stampers! Vicky is here today with a card for anyone who likes pirates or Jack Sparrow.
I started with white cardstock for my card, then mounted it on blue cardstock. As I was placing the white cardstock on the blue, my cat jumped onto my table and knocked my card crooked.
I stamped J. Sparrow and colored him with Copic markers.
Next, I stamped the Treasure Chest and colored that with Copic markers.
I added glitter dots for the gems in the treasure chest (the glitter doesn't show on the pic).
The sand is made by markers. Water and sky were sponged with ink.
I stamped the saying, You're A Treasure on tan cardstock.
Before I took the die off, I outlined it with Copic Glitter Pen.

Arrr Matey, I hope you enjoyed the card.

A Minion's Greeting

Bello! Timothy here today sharing a fun Minion card.

I started with a white card base. Next I layered a piece of navy cardstock to the base.
I cut a piece of white paper and used that as a guide to layer the corner pieces
of pattern paper that I added on top.
I glued down the banana paper and cut off the excess. I added the lighter blue piece next, then the yellow piece and lastly the darker blue piece and cut off the excess from the previous pieces of pattern paper. To cover the seams, I added strips of yellow cardstock.
I wrote the sentiment Bello in my own handwriting and cut around it leaving a small
border. I colored and cut out the Minion and his hat from the Minion 1 stamp set
and added him to the card. Have a fun day.

Egg-citing Twist on a Classic

   Hi Everyone, Dalis here!

I love messing with my stamps and making them do things they were never meant to do. This time? That EGG SOLID stamp got flipped upside down and turned into a balloon—because why not? I kept the colors translucent so they actually look like real balloons (you’re welcome). Pro tip: draw your string all the way to the knot as a straight line before letting it do its wild stringy thing. Just a black gel pen, nothing fancy. The Happy Birthday sentiment tied it all together, but honestly? Think of the possibilities! One egg, one sentiment—this could be a graduation card, a congratulations card, basically an anything card. And yes, now I want to make a whole sky full of them.

A Lighthouse For Encouragement Card

Hello Stampers. Vicky is here today.
I made a card for encouragement. Do you know someone who needs a pick-me-up?
This is our Lighthouse stamp, which fits on a standard A-2 card.
The saying, Roughest Storms was stamped and cut out with a die.
I mounted the saying on blue cardstock and used a corner punch.
The Lighthouse By The Seaside was stamped, colored.
I used the same corner punch for the lighthouse image as the saying.
