Easy Tattersall/Plaid Backgrounds with Markers - A Video Tutorial

Hi everyone! It's Lindsay here, from Crafting While Caffeinated Blog & YouTube Channel, and I am so excited to be sharing another video tutorial with you today. As many of you may know, I love making my own backgrounds. Sometimes those backgrounds can take more than a few supplies and some time, but today's technique does not! I'm sharing how to create these super easy and quick tattersall backgrounds!

These backgrounds are so easy and I wanted to show you a few different options, so I created three different backgrounds. I go over how to create each one in the video above so be sure to watch it!

But aside from making the panels, I used several Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps to finish each of these cards. The first panel I cut into two and used on two separate projects. The first card, I used the Tulips and a Tiny Sentiments stamp to finish it. And on the second, I used the Flower Flourish and You Make me Smile sentiment.

On my second panel I went a little lighter with my colors. This way I could use the Flower Swirls stamp set to stamp over the background! I also added a Get Well Soon sentiment to finish this card.

For my final card I went more masculine and clean and simple. This technique is perfect for masculine cards! And to finish this very simple card I only added a sentiment, specifically the "Belated" sentiment, which I need quite a few of in my stash!
