Green Eggs

Happy last week of February. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. Ericka here and today I have another Easter card using these Easter Egg stamp and green embossing powders.

I was using the February Monochromatic Theme and wanted to see what kind of card I could make with green (like Green Eggs & Ham). I painted my watercolor panel different shades of green and once it was dry started my embossing.

I started with the grass and stamped it in Catherine Pooler Mardi Gras ink. This ink is fun to use since you can also heat emboss it and I used a clear embossing powder. I then stated stamping my eggs (masking the ones next to it) and heat embossing them in different greens.

Once I was happy with the way the eggs looked, I took out my embossing pen and added some more details to them. I also added different shades of Nuvo drops for added dimension and shine. It was almost like coloring eggs at home, you never really sure how it will look until you are done.

I finished my card with the Happy Easter in Mardi Gras ink and clear heat embossed it and added a little white gel pen.
