Happy Birthday Frog

Hi Everybody!

Cornelia here today with my Crackerbox Stamps post for this week. I made this card using the new clear stamp sets.

Some of the products I have used have been provided to me by various companies I design for. Affiliate links may be used in the links provided below.

I first stamped the beer mugs and cans, colored them with alcohol ink markers, and cut them out. Then, I stamped the single beer mug and sentiment onto the card base. I did a tiny bit of masking for the candle. I added a strip of patterned paper on the left and assembled everything. I added some white Posca pen highlights and accents.

Snarky Paper Pieced Coffee Cups

Hello and welcome!  This is Shanna today with another fun project featuring Crackerbox Stamps!

Is anyone else LOVING the new photopolymer stamp sets from Crackerbox Stamps!  I mean--I am a red rubber loving girl, but these sets are so stinking cute!  Today's project uses the Coffee 1 stamp set and one of my favorite stamping techniques--paper piecing!

I grabbed two pieces of scrap paper left over from an old 6x6 pattern paper card and these cards whipped up in no time.  I flipped the placement of the patterns and created two cards with pretty much zero extra effort!  The to go cup in the set is a super easy shape to paper piece and cut out, and I love the fact that the sentiments in the set all fit on the coffee sleeve as well!

I hope you enjoyed today's cards. Thanks for stopping by.  See you all again soon, Shanna

Coffee Cards and Paper Piecing - 12 Sketches | 24 Card Challenge

Hello and welcome!  This is Shanna today with a brand new installment in the 12 Sketches | 24 cards series where I take a sketch found on the internet, and show you how to make two different cards—both featuring fabulous stamps from Crackerbox Stamps.

Here is today’s set of cards:

Did you know that Crackerbox Stamps now carries some amazing Photopolymer stamp sets!!  They are amazing!  I am featuring the new Coffee 1 stamp set in today’s cards.  I absolutely LOVE anything coffee related and this set has some hilariously snarky sentiments that are super fun to play with as well!  Total win!

This month I selected this sketch from Pinterest.  I love the symmetry!   The star translates to any shape/image/die cut you want to use so I knew it would be perfect to showcase the coffee cups in the Coffee 1 stamps set

For my first card I stayed pretty true to the sketch, utilizing the measurements for both pieces of my patterned paper.  To dress up the cup, I chose to paper piece it and then stamp the sentiment directly onto the coffee sleeve!  To paper piece I stamped the coffee cup onto white card stock, kraft cardstock, and the green pattern paper as well.  I ruddy cut the lid off the white cardstock and added some shading with my Copic markers.  Next I cut the coffee sleeve out of the kraft cardstock and also shaded it a little with Copic markers.  I fussy cut the entire cup out of the green pattern paper and used it as the base to glue the lid and sleeve onto—creating the cup you see pictured on the card!

For my second card, I flipped the sketch—so the smaller piece of pattern paper was at the top of my card, instead of the bottom.  This is a super simple way to change up a sketch to suit your preferences or design choices!  In addition to flipping it, I thought it would be a lot of fun to add som interest to the junction of the two pattern papers by tearing them instead of cutting them straight across.  Tearing paper is something anyone can do—no special tools required!  I did end up coloring the “white” that was left when I tore the paper with one of the markers I used to color the mug because I thought it was too bright for my design, but I easily could have left it as well!  My mug has a combination of paper piecing and Copic coloring.  I wanted the mug to have some interest, like it was dipped in a design—so I stamped and fussy cut the bottom section of the mug onto the green pattern paper.  I love how the final mug turned out—something I would definitely enjoy my morning coffee in!  The sentiment was stamped directly onto the mug using black ink to finish it off.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you are enjoying the series so far!
