Cupid Valentine Cards

Toni here with you today, sharing a vintage inspired Cupid Valentine card with a snarky twist.

I created a striped background using a variety of solid cardstock with a scalloped border.  It would have been very easy to simply cut strips of cardstock in a variety of colors, piece them together, and cut them to the size of the card front.  Either way, you are able to create a variety of card fronts at once to make each card unique.

I stamped and embossed the Cupid (isn't he sweet?!) in gold on vellum.  I masked and stamped the Weird Stalker sentiment as well.  I then cut out the pair out with a scalloped circle die. I used two layers of vellum to limit transparency.

On the inside of the card, I stamped the remainder of the Weird Stalker sentiment and applied a couple of strips of washi.  Cracks me up!

Duck Valentine Friendship Card

Hello! Timothy here today with a Valentine's Friendship card.

I stamped the background with the Heart Boxers stamp and colored them in with alcohol markers.
I also stamped and colored the Duck Grin stamp and cut around it, leaving a white border.
I stamped the Happy Valentine's Day Friend Script stamp and used a die cut from my stash to cut it out.
For the inside of the card, I used the Weird Stalker stamp for the sentiment and stamped the Heart Boxers stamp again to tie in with the front of the card.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and remember to do something you love.

Triple Layer Winter Fairy Card

Hello and Welcome!  This is Shanna from Caffeinated Craftiness, and I am here with a new card to share today featuring stamps from Crackerbox Stamps! Ever want to just stamp??  I mean no coloring, no embossing--just ink--stamps--and paper!  This card is the result of that.

STAMPS USED:
Fairy Blowing Stars
Pine Branch
Snowflakes (set of three) *also available individually*

This card uses a triple-layer stamping technique. That means you take a set of three different pieces of cardstock and stamp them on each other prior to stamping. My layers were: 4" x 5.25", 3.25" x 4.5", 2.5" x 3.75"

I stamped all of the stamping while these three layers were centered on each other.  Then, I separated the layers and matted each with the following mats: 4.25 x 5.5", 3.5" x 4.75", 2.75" x 4"

All that was left was to adhere the layers to the mats and then on each other!  I love how simple this technique is once all the math is done! LOL.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today's project.  See you all again soon!

Masculine Snarky cards 2 Ways | New Sketch Series Debut

Hello and welcome!  This is Shanna here today with a brand new card series for 2024!  12 Sketches - 24 Card challenge!  Every month on the 24th I will be creating not one, but TWO new cards featuring a variety of fabulous stamps from Crackerbox Stamps - each month featuring a different sketch I have sourced online.  I love creating with sketches, and I love even more the versatility a sketch can still provide within the construct of being pre-designed for me!  So, without further ado--here are cards one and two!

For these cards, I found a sketch on Pinterest that appealed to me and allowed a lot of creative liberties.  The blog no longer seems active, but that is the beauty of sketches--they don't typically require step-by-step instructions!

Products used in today's cards:

For the first card, I stuck more or less to the card sketch, except I turned it landscape in orientation.  I pulled some masculine papers from my stash and coordinate them together.  For background interest I stamped Big Head Ed all over the pattern paper--I love the dual pattern this provided and it made for a great background!  Be The Fun fit near-perfect on the 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" mat that was sketched as well!
For my second card, I kept the portrait orientation but chose to add additional mats to each layer. The amount of depth and interest this adds to the card is amazing--and easily done!  All I did was add a quarter inch to each dimension to have a mat for each piece.  I staggered the two focal rectangles slightly further down as well, and popped Big Head Ed up with some foam tape after fussy cutting him out. Rock, Paper, Scissors fit perfectly on the mat!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed my projects today!  If you'd like further details on the products used or want to check out more of my projects, be sure to head over to my blog! I will be back soon with more red-rubber inspiration from Crackerbox Stamps!!

Carry Some Crazy Snarky Card

Happy New Year, Crackerbox Stamps fans!!!  This is Shanna today with a simple and fun card featuring a few fabulous stamps from Crackerbox Stamps!

STAMPS USED:
Pocket
You Should Always Crazy

This card used a scrap of one of my gel press prints I had kept--I stamped the Pocket stamp onto it in black ink and then fussy cut it out.  I love the texture the Gelli print gave it!  I stamped my sentiment directly onto the pocket using navy ink and my MISTI. Then I ink blended an A2 panel with Distress Oxide inks in teals and blued to compliment the pocket before adding it to the panel with some foam tape.

The beauty of this card is in its simplicity!  I love adding embellishments, ribbon, glitter, and other things to my cards--but this one didn't need any of that!

I hope you are having a fabulous start to 2024. I will see you again soon!
